Sydney is one of the world's great harbour cities — a place where dramatic sandstone cliffs meet glittering blue water, world-class dining fills Victorian terrace houses, and a single ferry ride separates you from empty ocean beaches. This six-day itinerary is independently curated to move at a leisurely pace, staying at two of the city's finest addresses and reaching out to the Blue Mountains and the Northern Beaches.

The itinerary is designed around the harbour. Almost every morning begins with a view of the Opera House or the Bridge — twin icons that never lose their power to surprise. Afternoons fan out to the Eastern Suburbs beaches, the inner-west cafe culture, and the Royal Botanic Garden. By the final day you will have seen Sydney from the water, from the clifftops, and from the summit of a sandstone escarpment 1,000 metres above sea level.

Practical Information

✈️
Getting there: Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD) is the main international gateway. Direct flights operate from most Asian hubs, London (22h), Los Angeles (14h) and Dubai. The Airport Link train reaches Central Station in 13 minutes.
🚢
Getting around: The Opal card covers trains, buses, ferries and light rail. For this itinerary, ferries are the most scenic way to move. Taxis and rideshare (Uber) are plentiful.
💰
Budget notes: Sydney is an expensive city. Budget AU$200–400 per person per day for meals and activities above accommodation. The Bondi walk, Royal Botanic Garden and Manly Ferry are low-cost highlights. Tipping is not customary in Australia.
